Business Attraction and the External Marketing Council (EMC)

The Message of DCEDC’s External Marketing is clear: Think Dutchess. The primary focus of DCEDC’s Marketing program is to attract new value-added jobs to Dutchess County; promote vacant real estate to companies outside the county; and assist in the development of new business parks for the creation of tax rateables.

The EMC of DCEDC is Dutchess County’s premier coalition of industry professionals and leaders in finance, real estate, utilities, and related businesses. EMC oversees a multi-faceted program that includes promoting Dutchess County to businesses outside the county through advertising, publicity, direct mail, and special events; working with owners, brokers, and real-estate professionals to market their commercial properties; and assisting prospects in establishing businesses in  Dutchess County. A small cadre of EMC members directly assists with outreach efforts.
