Business Plan Competition
The second annual Dutchess County Business Plan Competition will take place during the Spring of 2008. The fundamental goals of this competition are to support new entrepreneurship and stimulate economic development in Dutchess County. Business plans submitted to the competition must be specific to Dutchess County both in need and in location.
If participants wish to implement their business plans in Dutchess County, Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) staff can provide assistance and make referral to available resources, including the Dutchess County Angel Network.

Venue and Date
The Dutchess County Business Plan Competition final event will be held on April 24, 2008, 2:30 - 5:30 pm including reception, at the Vassar College Alumnae House, 161 College Avenue, Poughkeepsie, New York.
Participation
Participation in this event is open to undergraduate students of the selected Dutchess County colleges: Culinary Institute of America, Marist College, Bard College, Dutchess Community College and Vassar College. Students can participate individually or in teams to develop a business plan for either an operating business or a feasible business concept. The designated college liaison from each participating college will select two plans from the applicant pool at their respective college to be presented at the final Business Plan Competition event.
