Career and technical educational opportunities offered in Dutchess County include for-credit and credit-free coursework offered by Dutchess Community College as well as training and courses offered by Dutchess County BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services). BOCES offers a truly broad spectrum of trade-focused and technically focused coursework. This includes RSES (Refrigeration Services Engineers Society) technical courses, and for specific certifications (e.g., the North American Technician Excellence Certification [NATE]).

With trained, skilled workers in consistent demand in Dutchess County and in the mid-Hudson Valley, BOCES offers valuable coursework and training to assist those who wish to pursue or are already employed in health care (BOCES School of Practical Nursing), computer science, real estate, gardening, and other occupations requiring specialized knowledge and training.
