Hudson Valley Tech Meetup

Tech Valley Built Here

What happens when four inventive Hudson Valley minds come together?

Explosive innovation.

That’s the momentum behind Hudson Valley Tech Meetup, co-founded in 2014 by Poughkeepsie-based entrepreneurs Dan and Sabrina Schutzsmith, of Digital Empire, and Dan Stone and Kale Kaposhilin, of Evolving Media Network.

Hudson Valley Tech Meetup is a bi-monthly gathering for more than 1,600 diverse and talented professionals, including creatives, coders, engineers, entrepreneurs, educators and students who want to share their passion for creating a thriving tech hub outside of New York City. And it’s working: attracting big names in tech, including founders and talent from Foursquare, IBM, Meetup and more.

Its Poughkeepsie home at the Indotronix Building – named for its main tenant IT/data center firm – is quickly becoming a networking hotspot, and often creating collaborative events with Dutchess County craft beverage makers, fashion designers and more.

A premier business-led organization, Think Dutchess Alliance for Business brings together 10 agencies under one unified vision for one-stop shop site selection, financing, incentives, permitting and advocacy, strategic planning and counseling, marketing and networking.
